In 2003, Gary received an old letter from his father stating that we had celebrity connections amongst the family, but didn't show how. So we did some research on our family history and found out we are connected to Walt Disney through marriage.

We weren't satisfied with just finding out about our famous connection, at this point realized that our entire family had a story to tell, and if we didn't uncover it, nobody may ever get the opportunity in our family to know their family history.

We knew up to a point on our surname but hit a brick wall. After years of getting nowhere, even trips to Canada, we decided to look into DNA testing for this purpose. Little did we know, this concept was in it's infant stage, practiced by very few. We did a Y Chromosome test with Ancestry.com DNA testing and a Mitochondrial DNA test at Family Tree DNA and was floored by the results. Not only did we find our ancestral origin, we found out where our DNA began. We also found living relatives.
