Haplogroup H

 

 

 

Haplogroup H is a descendant of Haplogroup HV. This Haplogroup originated in Southwest Asia, and possibly near the Middle East around 27,500 years ago. The human Mitochondrial sequence was assembled following this Haplogroup which means all mtDNA is compared to H

 

 

 

 

 

Haplogroup H is to more people from Europe than any other Haplogroup. Because of the recent migration in the last 500 years, many Americans also fall under this Haplogroup.

  The remains of an ancestor was found in Italy dated back about 27,000 years is found carrying this Mitochondrial Haplogroup.

Marie Antoinette, Luke the Evangelist and James McGovern all share H Haplogroup.
