Haplogroup Q

 

 

 

Haplogroup Q is a descendant of Haplogroup M (M29'Q). This Haplogroup originated in the Pacific region about 50,000 years ago.

The largest frequency is in New Guinea and Melanesia.  

 

 

 

 

 

Haplogroup Q is also found in low abundance of people from Sundaland, Micronesia and Polynesia.

This is not a common Haplogroup to fall under. If you are in this group, you will be able to find out so much about your past. You will learn a very specific migration path along with shared relatives.
